Ala-Archa: a day in the gorge

Forty minutes from Bishkek the city noise is gone. The trail follows the river past juniper and birch, and by noon the glaciers above the valley catch the light. Start early: the parking fills up by ten on weekends, and the afternoon clouds come in fast.

Mornings on Issyk-Kul

About

A small personal journal about hiking in the Tian Shan. No ads, no tracking — just routes, weather notes and pictures. Most trips start from Bishkek or Karakol and take one to three days.
